The Atlanta Chamber Players return with a tribute to living American composers on Sunday, November 14, 2021 at 4:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church Atlanta. The concert will be held at 1328 Peachtree St. NE Atlanta, GA 30309 as conditions allow, and livestreamed.
The program features the world premiere of the expanded winning commission of Notes From Inside by Benjamin Krause, our Rapido! National Finals Winner from January 2021. The piece was inspired by shared experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Following that theme, they will perform Peace, by Jessie Montgomery, the acclaimed composer, violinist, educator, and activist. Kenji Bunch’s Dies Irie and Pulitzer Prize-winning composer Jennifer Higdon’s Southern Harmony round out our tribute to living American composers. Following intermission, they will treat the audience with the passion and emotion of Brahms’ Piano Quartet No. 3.
